San Luis Obispo Remodel

A long time client bought a 2nd home in San Luis Obispo that needed a complete remodel as well as turning

the garage into a DADU.  We were able to work together in Seattle and remotely on the this project.

Altstadt Interiors did the furniture floor plan for the small cottage living room.

The patterned fireplace tile was the focal point for this room.

The original dining and kitchen space were completely different and inefficient.

Now we have a bright, open, cozy kitchen and dining room that is much more functional.

The cabinets for this project are from Bellmont Cabinets in Sumner, WA.

Altstadt Interiors' cabinet designer, Debby Mast, was able to work remotely and have all cabinets shipped to the contractor in San Luis Obispo.

We love the contrasting cabinet color of the island and fridge wall shown here. The side entry was reworked which allowed room for the storage bench and we added a quartz top.

The patterned tile that was used on the fireplace was also intended to be used as the backsplash for the range to tie everything together.

We used blue cabinetry for the master bath with a quartz countertop and a beautiful mosiac marble floor tile.

In the shower we used the beautiful mosiac marble tile as the accent in the niche. The rest of the shower surround is a 4" x 16" glossy wave tile, for a modern take on a traditional look.

The guest bath has a fun multi-colored hexagon tile with a darker vanity cabinet.

We liked the master bath shower surround tile so much we used it again in the guest bath with another patterned tile as the accent in the niche.
